Our Projects - Filley & Crane Co. Oak Roll Top

This is a turn of the century oak roll top manufactured by Filley & Crane Co. of Waterbury, CT.

This was an e-bay purchases and this image shows you what I started with.

Here we see the condition of the very back top of the desk.

Here we see the top partially stripped of the original finish.

This desk had beautiful raised panels all the way around.  In this image we have stripped one of the panels.

Here we have the desk fully restored.

A view of the finished desk open to display all the marvelous cubby holes and storage bins.

Rich is wonderful to work with and gave our kitchen table new life. I no longer have to hide it under table cloths.  I'm already planning what pieces to give him next!  A true craftsman.
